San Diego to Ensenada Private Transportation

Ensenada is roughly a two-hour drive south of the border along the Tijuana–Ensenada toll highway, one of the most scenic coastal roads in Baja. It's also long enough that the vehicle and the chauffeur genuinely matter.

Cruise port transfers

If you're joining or leaving a ship at the Ensenada cruise terminal, timing is unforgiving — the ship does not wait. We schedule these transfers with a deliberate buffer and drive you directly to the terminal gate rather than a nearby drop point. For disembarkations, give us your ship name and arrival time and the chauffeur will be waiting when you clear the pier.

The drive itself

The route runs the coastal toll road past Rosarito, La Misión and the cliffs above Salsipuedes. It's a genuinely beautiful stretch, and it's also winding in places — which is why we run full-size SUVs and the Sprinter rather than compact vehicles. Refreshments, climate control and phone charging are standard, and the chauffeur will stop at a viewpoint if you'd like.

  • Approximately two hours south of the border, traffic and crossing aside
  • Toll road fees included in your quoted rate
  • Optional stops at coastal viewpoints or Puerto Nuevo
  • Same vehicle from your San Diego door to your Ensenada address

Where we drop off in Ensenada

The cruise terminal, the hotel strip along Boulevard Costero, the downtown Primera and Ruiz district, the Valle de Guadalupe road heading inland, and La Bufadora on the Punta Banda peninsula. Ensenada is also the natural base for wine country, so many guests combine the transfer with a Valle de Guadalupe day.

How booking works

Send your pickup and drop-off, date, time and passenger count through the quote form or by phone. You get a flat, all-in figure back before anything is confirmed — no metered fares and no surge pricing. Once you approve it, the vehicle and chauffeur are held for your time slot and you receive written confirmation with your driver's details.
