San Diego Vacation Transportation Without a Rental Car

Skip the rental counter, hotel parking and unfamiliar freeways. Book the airport arrival, the hotel moves and the days you want to explore as private rides — and add a Baja day trip with the same booking process if your plans include Mexico.

Build the trip around a few planned rides

Most visitors do not need a car every hour of the trip. They need a reliable arrival, a ride between hotels or neighborhoods, and one or two days with a driver. Booking those as separate private rides — point-to-point transfers or hourly service — often replaces a rental car without leaving you stuck.

  • SAN or LAX arrival and departure rides timed to your flights
  • Hotel transfers between Downtown, Coronado, La Jolla or North County
  • Hourly service for a sightseeing day with stops you choose
  • Optional Legoland, wine country or Baja day built into the plan

Airport and hotel logistics

Give us your airline, flight number, hotel address and passenger and bag count. Airport pickups follow the flight you provide, and the meeting point is set out in your confirmation. If you are changing hotels mid-trip, book that move as its own ride so luggage goes with you rather than being left at a front desk.

Sightseeing by the hour

Hourly service keeps one vehicle and chauffeur with you between stops — useful for a day combining La Jolla, Coronado, Balboa Park or Old Town without parking at each one. Tell us the stops and rough timing and we will suggest an order. Booking-form hourly minimums apply and are shown before you pay.

Adding Baja to a San Diego vacation

A Tijuana dinner, a Rosarito beach day or a Valle de Guadalupe winery visit can be booked as a private cross-border ride. Every traveler needs valid documents for Mexico and for re-entry to the U.S.; border wait times vary and are not something we can promise. If you are flying out of Tijuana, a U.S.-side CBX drop-off is a different trip from a ride into Mexico — see CBX transportation.

How booking works

Send your pickup and drop-off, date, time and passenger count through the quote form or by phone. You see an itemized price — fare, 20% gratuity and any add-ons such as child seats — before anything is confirmed, with no metered fares or surge pricing. Online reservations are paid in full through secure checkout; once paid, the vehicle and chauffeur are held for your time slot and you receive written confirmation.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need a rental car for a San Diego vacation?+

Not necessarily. If most of your days are spent at one hotel or area, private rides for the airport, hotel moves and one or two hourly days can cover the trip. If you plan to drive every day, a rental may suit you better.

Can you pick us up at SAN and take us to our hotel?+

Yes. Share the flight number, hotel address and passenger and bag count. Pickup timing follows the reported arrival and your confirmation explains the meeting point.

Can we book a driver for a sightseeing day?+

Yes — hourly service keeps the vehicle and chauffeur with you between stops. The booking form shows the hourly minimum and itemized price before you pay.

Do you provide child seats for vacations?+

Yes, on request at $30 per seat, shown as a separate line on your quote.

Can we add a day trip to Mexico?+

Yes. Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe rides are quoted as cross-border trips. Every traveler is responsible for their own travel documents.
